Lineage
Timeline and Titles:


1993:
· Received his first lesson in B.J.J. from Royce Gracie.
· Began training with Rickson Gracie in Santa Monica at the end of the year.

1994:·
· Started to train with Rickson’s younger brother, Royce Gracie.
· Received his Blue Belt from Royce Gracie.
. 1st place: Gracie Jiu Jitsu tournament in Torrance, CA. (first competition)

1995:
. 1st place: Gracie Jiu Jitsu tournament in Torrance, CA.
· Fought in the “Gracie Challenge’ for the first couple of times.

1996:
· 3rd place: Gracie Jiu Jitsu tournament in Torrance, CA.
· Continue his training at the Gracie Academy with Professor Caique.
· Fought in the “Gracie Challenge” twice again.

1997:

· Competed in the Pan-American B.J.J. Championships in Honolulu, Hawaii. Winning his first 3 matches and eventually loosing by points before his semi-final match.
· 1st place: Neutral Grounds lightweight tournament in Torrance, CA.
. 1st place: Gracie Jiu Jitsu tournament in Torrance, CA.

1998:
· Won his first professional MMA fight at the Neutral Grounds tournament in Muncie, IN.
· 1st place: National Gracie Jiu Jitsu Championships in Manhattan Beach, CA.

1999:

· Received his Purple Belt by Royce Gracie.
· 3rd place: Gracie Jiu Jitsu Invitational tournament in Torrance, CA.
· 3rd place: West Covina Judo Invitational.

2000:
· 2nd place: San Fernando Judo invitational (fought in the open weight division only weighting 160lbs).
· Fought in the Super Fight match at the Fight Zone Mixed Martial Arts tournament to a draw against MMA Light Heavyweight Champion, Adrian Serrano, in Detroit, MI. (weighted 160lbs for the fight against a opponent who was 190+)

2001:
· Began training and teaching with Professor Caique in his new school.
· Received his Brown Belt from Caique.
· Coached and trained his students to win both Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts tournaments.

2002:
· Continue to coach and train several students that went on to win Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts tournaments.

2003:
· Won his fight for the Light Weight title at the Art of War, Mixed Martial Arts tournament in Kalispell, MT.
· Coached several fighters for their Mixed Martial Arts fights in Tijuana, Mexico where they
went undefeted.

2004:
· Received his Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from Professor Caique.
· Moved to Westminster, CO, and opened his own school; Zingano Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
· 1st place: American National Jiu Jitsu Championships.

2005:
· 2nd place: American Nationals Jiu Jitsu Championships (Medium Heavy Weight)
· Zingano BJJ Invitational Tournament: Zingano BJJ - 1st Place
· Quarter Finalist: Pan American Jiu Jitsu Championships


2006:
· US National Cup: Zingano BJJ - 1st Place
· Top of the Rockies Grappling Championships: Zingano BJJ - 1st Place
· Quarter Finalist: World Masters Championships (Brazil)
· Colorado State Jiu Jitsu Championships: Zingano BJJ - 1st Place
· Vision Quest Grappling Tournament: Zingano BJJ - 1st Place
· 3rd Place: South American Jiu jitsu Championships (Brazil)
· 1st Place: American National Jiu Jitsu Championships
